FAC is an ISO/IEC 17025:2005 UKAS accredited laboratory (No. 4400). Our scope of accreditation includes gluten analysis based upon the Official AOAC-RI method, as recommended by the Codex Committee on Methodology, Sampling and Analysis (CCMAS).

The Enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA) and PCR DNA-based techniques are employed to detect the presence of the following

       • Gluten
       • Milk (casein & ßeta-lactoglobulin)
       • Soya
       • Egg
       • Histamine
       • Peanut
       • Tree nut *

• Sesame seed
• Crustacean/Shellfish
• Celery
• Mustard
• Sulphites
• Mycotoxins

       * Includes hazelnut, almond, Brazil nut, cashew nut, pistachio, macademia        and pecan.
